Dressing Up the Kitchen

Hey there!!  Aww, and the three-day weekend is over :(   It was pretty random- I know a lot of readers/bloggers/friends did not get yesterday off…I wonder what’s up with that!?  My roommate and I got a lot done so we were really happy!  We rented a zip car, went to Target, Costco (GREAT sample day!!) and Old Navy.  I didn’t go as a crazy as I thought, thank goodness, and we got some steals at Costco!  While a lot of stuff there is too big or too much for me to actually realistically consume, I can find some goodies at great prices.

Example: We bought a HUGE piece of really good salmon for $14- we cut it into 2-person portions for four nights.

And had the first for dinner last night!

We also got a huge bag of broccoli, grapes, some soup, gloves (haha you get the idea…)

On our walk home I was seriously craving a good Chocolate Chip Cookie.

I totally got one!!! MMMMmmm…

We couldn’t resist the seasonal decor at Target!!

We went to Old Navy to get fleece and other warm cozies- I ended up with a fleece top and PJ pants, I’m definitely wearing both right now :D

Today was cold!! It rained pretty much all day, but it was nothing a good hot shower, sweats and hot tea couldn’t fix…I’m pickin’ up tips from the Ice Diva here and there!  It’s only getting colder from here, but I think I can handle it ;D

Good night friends, hope you are enjoying nice weather!

Season decor is hard to resist. I love the way it makes a house look festive.

I live in flannel PJ’s with hoodies under my snuggie in cold weather. I don’t like to pay huge heat bills so I dress warm.

Oh hell, layers are life in the winter. I don’t like it, but it’s the only way to go. Here’s to looking 20 lbs heavier all winter! Woopwoop! :)

And now I need to go find a chocolate chip cookie…xoxo

costco is the meca of all grocery stores – I still can’t get over how ridonculous the supersized cereal value packs are — enough to last me at least a week :)

Ooh, I love productive days like that! And when it gets really cold, just try and keep your feet and ears warm! Somehow if you can manage that, it doesn’t seem as bad!

True story: yesterday when I was in my mystery city, everyone was freaking out about Columbus Day. We TOTES don’t celebrate that in MI – I just told them they were crazy pilgrims ;)

Seasonal decor, cookies and milk, fleece from Old Navy (the Gap has an AWESOME fleece zip up that I’m buying in a hot second) = LOVES!! Loves you Miss CB!
