Any Restaurants in this Town?

(ha…joking!) Hey guys!!  Thank you so much (from me AND momz!) for your super-sweet b-day wishes to my mom!  I think it was the next best thing to having me there for her birthday ;)   School was kinda craze this week…but I don’t have class today- and Monday is a holiday, hallelujah!  I always use weekends like this to just catch up on life, or clean…and maybe go out one night :D

I posted how much I love this Teddie Peanut Butter!!

I think a lot of it has to do with this sultry little bear- haha look at his seductive pose!

I got muenster cheese at TJ’s!!  I heart cheese!

Except that it gets weird and stretchy after it melts and cools??  Must be science…

I went out with friends for dinner, but was seriously starving and couldn’t wait!  I made a snackster plate of TJ’s multi-grain crackers, carrots and hummus.  We had dinner reservations at 8, and didn’t get seated until 9- ah too late for me!!  I got a boring chicken salad, but someone at our table ordered Tiramisu, which

a.) I didn’t know I liked.

b.) Turns out I like a lot :D

The gym I go to is near Copley, so I pass this gorgeous Farmer’s market on many days!

It’s filled with flowers and foodie treats…

And gourds!

Ahh I love it here so much!!! Aside from sporadic bouts or days of rain, the weather has been absolutely gorgeous, crisp and fall-like.  I’ve been able to meet up and hang out with a ton of friends from that live here, and I feel like I have such a good support network if I ever need anything.  AlthoughI may already have a flight home in November :)   Heyyo flights are supa cheap right now!!

Question for my Bostonians!!!: I’m going out to dinner with a friend on Saturday and I need some good restaurant suggestions!  I think we are meeting in the Back Bay, and I’m looking for a delicious, healthy-ish, fun-ish restaurant to take her!  She’s not super into sushi, or anything crazy…but I just want someplace with a good selection that is good for two newbies in Boston!!

There are so many amazing places her, I know you guys can help me out :D   Thanks bloggies, see ya later!

That teddy bear is ridiculous – total MySpace shot. Like seriously. He’s asking for it…hubba, hubba.

I HAVE to make you my tiramisu now!! Isn’t that dessert out of this world?! Glad you like it!

I’m no help with the restaurants but I can’t wait to see where you and your friend go :)

De-lurking just to tell you how much I adore hearing about all of your Boston adventures! I graduated from BU in January, so it’s fun to hear and see lots of familiar things!

Like VeggieGirl, I recommend anything on Newbury Street! Sonsie is a lot of fun! It’s a young crowd and the restaurant opens out on the street, so if it’s a nice night, it’s a really fun way to dine!

  8. Andrea (Off Her Cork) Says:

YaY! CBs I’m so glad you are loving where you are right now. That matters so much and helps the soul. :)

    Happy Belated B-day Momz!!

    That farmers market looks awesome!

I went to Piattini last weekend and the food was good and in decent portions so you can still enjoy the pasta without the huge plates you get at most places.

  10. Averie (LoveVeggiesAndYoga) Says:

There are tons of good restaurants on Newbury, but some of them are pretty expensive! Charley’s isn’t too bad, and Cafe Jaffa (middle eastern food) and Trident Cafe & Bookstore are both really great! I love Trident the best – it’s very coffee-shop-ish but they have great salads and their Momos are delicious.

  13. devan Says:

I have never have tiramisu.. but it always looks so yummy!!
that teddies pb looks dynamo as well

    love ya!

  14. Jenny Says:

I want to try the Teddie Peanut Butter and stare at the sultry little bear. I’ve never seen that PB around. Must be a Yankee thing. ;)

So glad you’re loving the cooler weather Caroline. I hear Boston has an amazing Fall.

Love Tiramisu. That coffee flavor with those little lady finger things. YUM! Definitely ranks right up there with fro-yo and sprinkles.

Hope you have a good weekend!

  19. Naomi (onefitfoodie) Says:

ahh I am a BOSOTONIAN!!! I would recommend in the backbay Match or Sonsie or Stephanie, all super trendy I would make reservations in advance all great and you can find healthy food at all 3 of those! Feel free to email me with any Boston ques!! I am born and raised! :)
